The yard

Pula has built ships since 1856. Tramontana builds the ones that win in Monte-Carlo. From Krilo Jesenice to Pula, one team now designs, builds and refits them.

How a Tramontana is built

  1. Custom design

Every Tramontana starts as a line on paper. Owner's brief, naval architecture and general arrangement are drawn together, so the yacht is right before the first plate is cut.

    Owner's briefNaval architectureGA planInterior concept
  2. Frames & keel

Keel laid, frames raised station by station. The hull's geometry leaves the screen and becomes steel you can walk under.

  3. Steel, welded

Plate by plate, seam by seam. Our hulls are built in steel in Croatia by the same craftsmen who finish them.

  4. Rig & finish

Superstructure, interiors, systems, masts and paint. Two red lines along the sheer, the signature of every Tramontana.

  5. Launch.

Sea trials in the Adriatic, then handover. From first line to first sail, one team answers for all of it.

The yard · Istria

A shipbuilding city since 1856. Our new home for yachts up to 60 m.

Tramontana grew up on the Dalmatian coast, building Reposado in Krilo Jesenice. Pula gives the yard room to grow: covered halls, a dry dock and a quay at the top of the Adriatic, a short hop from Venice, Trieste and the Alps.
